Liu Ming is a XJTU “Tengfei” professor and Graduate School Vice Dean. He has been included in the “National 1000 Young Talent Program” by the CPC Central Committee Organization Department, and the “100 Talent Program” by the Shaanxi Province. He is also a member of the CPPCC Xi'an Municipal Committee.
He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Northeastern University in Boston in May 2010. He was a research scientist at AFRL and Argonne Scholar at Argonne National Laboratory. In September 2013, Professor Liu started working at the Electronic Materials Research Laboratory, Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, and the International Center for Dielectric Research, in XJTU School of Electronic and Information Engineering.
His research has been focusing on intelligent magnetic materials and devices, integrated multiferroics for novel electronics/spintronics, and RF devices and memories. He has presided over and participated in many projects funded by the National Nature Science Foundation of China, National Basic Research Program (973 Program), 2011 Collaboration Innovation Center Program, US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), US Naval Research Office, US National Science Foundation, and US National Energy Technology Laboratory. He has published 110 research papers on internationally famous journals such as Nature Communications, Advanced Materials, and Advanced Functional Materials, which have been cited for more than 2,700 times. He is an editorial board member of Scientific Reports and JMIHI, and a guest editor of Sensors and Physics Letters A. He is also a senior member of the Chinese Institute of Electronics.
